KA & CX Medicals
Are they one in the same? I've scrolled through the PPRune search function and found a few items, but nothing really detailing what can be expected. From what I've read a HKG medical check looks pretty rigid. In one post, a PPruner mentioned that the medical was no big deal, yet several posts down another counted this. This has left me a little confused! Thanks in advance for replies posted.

Mango3,
I can't speak for the KA medical, but the CX medical is straight forward. It is what I would consider a standard "Canadian" category 1 medical with the addition of a blood test. They are quite thorough, and perform a few extra vision tests, but nothing out of the ordinary. The CX nurses do all of the testing, then you get examined by one of the company doctors. Overall, a solid 45-60 minutes of your time.
Cheers.
