Wink Diabetes...back in with a chance

Just thought I would share this one...

Went for my Class I Medical renewal in February. Failed...trace of sugar in urine sample. Despatched to local Dr. Glucose tolerance test - confirmed diabetic.

Change to diet, exercise regime and testing blood sugar levels 2x a day. 4 months later, retested and CAA reissued my Medical unrestricted.

Hope this info helps anyone in a similar situation.

I wonder if the CAA will eventually re-issue class one's to people with class one diabetes ?
The recent advent of devices that fit on your wrist and constantly monitor your blood sugar level is a major breakthrough. They alert the wearer to low/high levels, this combined with a proven history of good diet and constant blood sugar levels will hopefully be looked upon in a positive light by the CAA medical dept ???
