photophobia

Is it allowed to have photophobia/light sensitive eyes, and pass the class 1 medical exam?

Cheers!

I'm not sure that there is a specific test that would reveal this condition at your medical.

Not me either. I´ve been to normal eye-doctors and they can´t really say what it is since they can´t really find it. But what I´m basing this on is that I´ve read that people that go under the knife (eye-surgery) may risk an increase in light sensitivity and may have problems passing. So the doctors are able to see it, somehow.

I hold a jaa and casa class 1 medical and I'm really light sensitive (maybe related to my astigmatism and hypermetropia) but I'm sure there is no test for light sensitiveness for aviation medicals otherwise I would have been in trouble
