Renewal of Class 1 Medical

Hi,

I am hoping you can help, I am finding the CAA website a little scattered with information.

I was issued with my Class 1 Medical in October 2007 - this was the second initial assessment as my eyesight was marginal and I had to go back with a PPL and unchanged sight to a get the medical by a deviation.

I am now looking to begin commercial flight training - but thats something for another thread - and would like to revalidate/renew my medical before shelling out any money. I know that I am still within the 5 year renewal bracket, but how do I go about this? Is this through Gatwick again or will I just need an AME?

Many thanks in advance,

Mark

Only the initial should be done at Gatwick. You may choose an AME to renew/revalidate class 1 medicals.

Good luck

Thanks very much, I also rang Gatwick yesterday and they said that is what I need to do - appointment booked!

Thanks again.
