Methotrexate

Hi all. Could you tell me if anyone works in the UAE with the GCAA and takes this drug? It is allowed under the CAA as the side effects are minimal. I don't know as yet the outcome of a recent medical there for EK and their take on it. Thanks.

The drug itself, is probably not that important, rather the affect it has on you, and your immune system. It seems to work really well in relevant situations, but wrongly used, is highly toxic.

I suspect that recorded monitoring will be your best friend. Keep your own record of blood test results. Sudden changes in values are usually more important than the values themselves. Stability will be your friend.

Good luck, and keep us informed.

P.S. If your dose of methotrexate ever changes suddenly (for example from once a week, to once a day, question the decision.)
