Just wondering if anyone out there has gone through the process with the C.A.A
I know there is a flow chart and which tests are required but would be interested to hear from anyone who has been through the process.
Was it straight forward? Are there any drugs used post MCI that the CAA dont approve of ?
How long post the 6 months grounded did it take to get a decision?
Any recommendations on what to do and when!!!
Any information would be appreciated.

Hi
You need to speak to the CAA medical unit, but it used to be at least an exercise tolerance ECG testing, Coronary Angiography and even gated radio active scanning of the Heart, and if I remember it should be done 1 year post MI.
Non cardio-selective beta blockers, now rarely used, are out.
You maybe restricted to a multi crew environment only, in view of the perceived risk of further MI.
There was a guy on here recently, who was dealt with at Peterbrough DGH fortunately for him by an RAF medical officer.
