Thoroughness of Class 1 Medical?

I was just curious about the thoroughness of Class 1 medical tests.
Perhaps I'm over-reacting but I don't fancy the idea of having a lubricated finger inserted into my arse, or a doctor fondling my testicles. Is this common practice in most medicals? Is it easy to ask around for a doctor who won't do this, or is it only common amongst large airline pilots? I don't even like the idea of a doctor looking at my junk. Is this just something I'll have to get over, or is it not a common practice?

G'day S&S,

I dunno where you are but here in Oz I've never had a DAME stick his finger up my bum or even want to look at the private bits in over 30 years of doing Class1 aviation medicals both military and civil.

My personal doc has that pleasure and only when necessary, getting older you see and things need checking.

Regards,
BH.

lol thats funny. A Class 1 is thorough, but not THAT thorough!!

I posted a few weeks ago on what I did for mine - do a search for that and you'll see...no fingers up bums. Trust me, if they had tried, the doc would've ended up like -->

Haha, thank you for taking the time to reply. The only thing that led me to believe this, is a short PDF on Aviation Medical check ups that mentioned that doctors may check the prostate, as well as the scrotum for hernias.

From your reactions it seems like maybe I wasn't over-reacting. Was just questioning whether or not the career was worth having a finger inserted into my yoohoo on a regular basis for the rest of my life (though I was leaning towards MAYBE, believe it or not.)
