Sunken chest?

Hey guys. Considering taking the leap into the deep end with CTC and I'm wondering if a sunken chect would be an issue with passing the medical. Its never affected my heart of breathing but I havn't had it checked out by my GP yet.

Anyone got any advice?

....PS anyone who calls me treasure will face unlimited wrath.

The condition you refer to is PECTUS EXCAVATUM.

You may find this of interest :

Pectus excavatum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Unless it's extreme, and if you've reached adulthood without any significant problems, it's unlikely to be a problem in aviation. They are only interested in function, not appearance !

One thing just to be prepared for - because of the different electrode positions, angles, etc, people with PE often give an apparently abnormal trace when an ECG is performed, even though the heart itself is quite normal.

Hey man, I'm 16 with my SPL. I have this wierd thing with my chest where it goes in a bit. My friends say it's wierd and the ol' "you should see a doctor about that" was used...

Anyway, I went to a DAME to have my medical done, I didn't ask him about it or tell him, I didnt think it was a problem. Although he did say, "It'll pop out", I said "oh yeah?" and that was the the end of that. But now I know what it's called and it's knowhere as bad as the wikipedia pictures show.
