Hearing requirements - old v's new
Hi, I did my initial class 1 medical in 2006 before the hearing requirements changed. I only just passed. I've been feeling a little anxious about the prospect of the renewal although it's not due for another couple of years. I know that the new standards are no more than 35 dB loss at 500, 1000 and 2000 and 50dB at 3000. Does anyone know the old initial standards? I've searched the web and can't find them anywhere. I'm hoping someone's going to tell me they were more strict than the current standards so I can stop worrying!

From the CAA web site :
Audio - JAR Class 1 Hearing Standards | Medical | Safety Regulation
I'm not sure about changes since 2006 . . . . . but I do have reference to audio figures which applied to initial class 1's when we first joined JAR in July 1999. At that time the figures quoted for the four frequencies referred to were : 20, 20, 20 and 35.
