CAR Cat. 1 medical - eyesight requirements in Canada

Hi all,

The CAR site states that to pass the Cat. 1 medical, an applicant requiring vision correction must have a prescription of no more than -3.00 or 20/200.

What I read in a few old threads was that this was incorrect and that as long your eyesight's 20/20 with glasses/contacts then your prescription doesn't matter and you're good to go.

I know this has been covered before, but the most recent thread I could find was four years old, and I was wondering if what I read there was still current.

Cheers,
Al
