JAR1 Medical is that it?
Hi
After reading Paul's thread, it made me think? Once the Class 1 Medical is obtained is that it? Do airlines do their own medicals or is the Class 1 seen as being it? A question I failed to asked when I recently obtained mine.

Poss,
Not totally correct, many airlines conduct their own medicals.
I can point you towards quite a few crew who hold valid Class 1 medicals but are fighting with their airline medical representatives about regaining flying status.
BTW, remember that the class 1 doesnt test for drugs etc, the airline medical might include these tests.

Class 1 medical = minimum legal requirement
Any further medical examinations = extra cost to be met by those that require it.
Therefore, further medical examinations are unusual, but not out of the question.
