Sleeping Motion Sickness
Seems incredible but have discovered a mature female who becomes very drousy when others may be becoming air sick. On her first instructional flight, which happened to be a transit lasting about 2 hours she dropped off to sleep after the first hour, much to the consternation and concern of the instructor. This affliction also concerns her when driving a car for times in excess of about 15 minutes. She is a pharmacist and has not yet discovered a name or a cure for her condition.
Has anyone had experience with someone having similar symptoms?

Google Motion Narcolepsy. Lots of rather odd postings. But this one has a subject so affected.

She does indeed have narcolepsy.

Has she considered talking to her quack to investigate a cause, and explore a treatment.
Is this lady learning to fly an aircraft?

This brought back a very clear memory of a pilot from way back. He would have a nap while waiting at a red light when driving.
One day he was in the jump seat during real airplane training in a jet transport aircraft, the other F/O reached for the radios before looking down...and he put his hand on his sleeping colleague's head! He was fast asleep on a mat of metal knobs.
