Ears Popping on Landing
Want to eventually train to be a pilot but have a burning question that I would like answering.
Recently comeback from Cyprus and on both landings there and back home I had extreme discomfort on landing with my ears popping. The pain is quite excruciating.
I was wondering if this is only found in some people and/or if this is something the body would get used to or would I have this every time I came into land.
Find it strange as I never really get that bad ears, occasionally have felt it before but the previous two landings have been horrible.
Many Thanks.

Many threads and posts regarding ears recently. Suggest you trawl them for more info.
Pain on descent is far more common than on ascent (If you want the physics, PM me). If it hasn't happened to you in the past then you may just have a slightly blocked Eustacian Tube which will probably settle. If it happening frequently then you need to see your doctor.
