Using JAA Class 2 medical as a FAA Class 2

I have just got my JAA Class 2 and I understand that I will need to get a FAA one when I go the the states. But I have been told to get an orange coloured medical form from the JAA AME and this will sufice for an FAA one. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks
Peter
