Class 1 Medical requirements of eyesight

Hi everyone,
I wanted to just clear a few doubts before I go for my Class 1 Medical test in Madrid, in about 1 months time. Firsty I wear glasses but most of the time I use contact lenses (long sight) and my vision is within the range (+3/-5). When I go for the test, could I have the contact lenses on or should I use the glasses? Am I supposed to take both?
Secondly, if I wear contact lenses I read, somewhere on here (tried searching but couldn't find where exactly), that you need some letter from your optician saying that you can wear it on for at least 8 hours. I can wear it on for more but is it true that I need the letter?
My last question, how long does this medical test usually take on average?

Thank you.

P.S. This medical test will be my initial one.
