Question Class 1 - lapsed, fall back on class 2?

I've an appointment next week to renew my class 1 (which is out of data) but I have a class two (from the days before I had a class 1...) which is still valid.

Can someone just confirm to me I'm still legal to fly privately (ie exercising class 2..). I'm sure I've read this is OK but just want to check...

Thanks,
tKF

I believe that if your class one has expired you can still exercise class two privilages on it if you fall into a certain age criteria, believe it is under 40 or 42.

Confirmed.

Your Class 1 is valid for Class 2 purposes as though it was a Class 2 when issued.
