toxic bleed air??

Just watching a segment on a Sunday morning TV show about air crew and passengers becoming seriously ill due to faulty oil seals contaminating bleed air on commercial jets. One case saw both crew of a bae 146 suffer temporary paralysis for roughly 5 mins, and after donning oxygen masks eventually fixed them up
The FO of this 146 (now retired) is convinced some accidents should have been put down to this rather than pilot error..
Another clown thinks this is what causes jet lag
