CAA Class 1, best time to call

I've been trying for about a month now to book in my class 1 medical at Gatwick, but they seem to be on a permanent coffee break. Does anybody know the best time to ring, and what days/times they operate?

At this rate it might be worth going to Ireland to have it done.

I'm guessing they only start conducting medicals during the morning if they take half a day to complete?

I called yesterday to book and got straight through at about 3pm. I even had a query that she consulted with the opthamologist on and called me back within ten minutes (and i live in Dubai so was an overseas call), very impressed!

I need to do my intial class one medical in gatwick,anyone has numbers,website,names of Dr etc.Also what does the intial medical cover in terms of tests?
