Spleen removal

hello all,

can anybody tell me if, under JAA standards, spleen removal can set an applicant for a Class 1 medical unfit to fly? And what about Class 2?

I can't speak for JAA standards, but I had a splenectomy three years ago and that hasn't caused any problems in holding an Australian Class 1 medical.
I cannot see why the JARs should be any differant.
