Oldest Initial Issue Class 1 in the UK?

I've just collected my initial issue Class 1 from the CAA. Nothing remarkable there, but I'm nearly 58. My age isn't a particular problem for me, but it is for some other people!

Has anyone had a class 1 initial issue at an even older age?
The reason for obtaining the class 1 is so that I can start a new career as an instructor (hopefully!)

Cheers,
