Question Eyesight Confusion

Hello all thanks for having me! (First post)

Sorry for posting in here it just seems to be the most active forum.

My question is I’m applying for a ground trade in the RAF and have passed tests, interviews and am now at the medical stage.
I have done two medicals and have flagged up an eyesight problem (squint ). After my first medical the doctor was unsure about one eye and advised an eye test at my local opticians. Apparently the optician says I definatly meet VA3 RAF standard!!! Woo Hoo i thought!! Upon my next medical the doctor still had doubt so is contacting RAF doctors??!!!? Surely having an optician with all his gadgets and gizmo's giving me the all clear, would be good enough??
If anyone could pass on any previous experiences or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time!

For a ground trade I would not really worry about the eyesight too much it would seem that some of our "Airships" would be seen to be sitting on their elbows and wondering where their a e comes from at the mo!!

Just don't go for Bomb Disposal "Red or White wire Sarge"
