Class 2 Medical and Sudden Hearing Loss
Hi:
Please excuse the Private vs Professional nature of this post, I hold a PPL(H).
About 3 weeks ago I experienced sudden hearing loss (gone in about 3 seconds while in the shower) and diagnosis is likely to be Idiopathic Sensorineural Hearing Loss. No vertigo, no menieres etc, currently waiting for MRI scan to rule out Acoustic Neuroma.
I would be grateful for some guidance on the best way forward with the CAA and the likelihood of any problems occuring with my Class 2 medical. I'm assuming this would be a notifiable change in health, but I'm hopeful that with "moderate" hearing loss in one ear, this wouldn't preclude a re-validation of my medical once all the diagnostics are completed.
Hearing loss is around 40dB though improving very slowly.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards
