Eysight Question
My current prescription is -1.50 each eye.
Now I don't know what measurement that is but the CAA rules for JAR Class 1 allow for no more than +5.00 or -5.00 dioptres.
http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/49/SRG_MED...s(June-06).pdf
Is it -1.50 dioptres for my prescription?
I wear soft contact lenses too.
Am I within the limits of the eyesight requirments?
I'm no optician so forgive me if the answer is blindingly obvious

Re. eyesight
hi ya.
Your correct the CAA require that short sight must not exceed -5.00 diopters.
I had -4.75 on my left eye which was the worst of the two, plus i also have an Astigmatism in both eyes.
I then got Lasik lasor surgery to loose the glasses.
A letter from the CAA says that i'll pass the vision requirements for the class one medical.
They don't go on post op figures, they go on what my eyes were like before the surgery. Crazy i know.
So you will have no problem.
Goodluck.
