Narcolepsy treatment and Class 1

Can anyone tell me, does Narcolepsy mean the end of holding a Class 1 medical or can it be treated and be returned to flying duties?

Please keep any frivolous responses for Jetblast. Thanks.

For general info, I have established from family in the medical world that as far as aviation is concerned, it would almost certainly be the end of a flying career. Looking forward to contrary evidence from the broader community.

Just found out that sleep apnia(sp) has same symptoms but is treatable. Good news
