Red face Fluid in the ear

Has anyone experienced this problem? I had an ear infection earlier this year from which I had completely recovered.

However, I got a bad cold shortly after and did all the right things. I stayed off flying and even went to the doctor who prescribed antibiotics. When I returned to work after a few days my ear didn't feel right so went back to doctor who said my middle ear had filled up with fluid. I have never had this problem with colds in the past.

I am at home now waiting to see the ENT (ear and nose) specialist because the ear still doesn't feel right.

In an effort to bypass the waiting lists I am considering going private but there seems to be a lack of information about ENT specialists with a aviation specialism. Can anyone help?
