Class 2 Medical

Hi Craig

At a Medical a couple of years ago my AME noticed that my blood pressure was slightly high (apparently not enough to fail the medical) but he advised that I contact my GP for further checks (to counter the "white coat effect"). My GP arranged for a series of tests with the practice nurse over a period of time, and yes, my blood pressure was slightly high. He advised that I take Atenolol which worked the oracle and brought my blood pressure down to acceptable limits.

Remember it is your health (and this is not a practice run) - Look after it. Taking blood pressure tablets (at lower strengths) will not affect your medical - but you must declare it to the AME.

Good luck.
