Beta Thallasaemia Trait

Yes, iv'e got it. I told the Class 2 medical doctor who said it was fine but will they issue a class 1 on the basis of it? I have no sideeffects whatsoever.

Hi B.T

I have managed to get an FAA Class 1 Medical who have assued me that being a carrier of Beta Thalasemia Trait isnt a problem, because that is exactly what it is! Its a trait, not a major thus meaning that it will only affect your future, kids etc.. Not your immediate health.

I dont think it will pose a problem with a Class 1 but its worthing giving the CAA a call and finiding out the stance on this..

Hope this helps.
