Question Loss of licence insurance

Hi all!
Just started my first job as a pilot and I have not yet signed a loss of licence insurance. Any tips of a good one from a EU country?

Thanx

Whatever you do read the terms very carefully as they are not all the same and may not give the cover you expect, for example:-

If you have your licence suspended rather than revoked will it pay out and if so when.

Does it pay out straight away or do you have a long waiting period.

If you are injured in a terrorist attack on a crew bus are you covered or are there exclusions for riot civil unrest etc.

Does hazardous sports invalidate the policy. If so what is dangerous, Skiing? gliding? etc etc.

If you do not lose your licence altogether but have restrictions placed on it which means that you cannot continue in your current job what happens. For example if you currently fly single pilot operations and you can only fly as or with copilot.

Does it exclude conditions such as psychiatric illness or HIV.

Does it pay a lump sum or a smaller amount over several years, and if you die during this period would it continue to pay your partner and children.

Can the insurer increase the premium as they like each year or is it fixed in some way.

Can the insurer decide that he does not wish to renew your cover this year or are you entitled to further cover.

Scottish Widows does Critical Illness insurance that pays out if you are diagnosed with any of a list of ailments or if you are unable to continue to work in your 'Normal Job' which you specify. Most will require you to work in any job.
