Commercial Pilot Medical

This is my first post so I hope it gets to the right place.

Is it possible to obtain details of the Commercial Pilot medical requirements so that a test can be done anywhere and not at Gatwick, where I understand its about 350 quid plus the hassle of getting there and back.

The purpose is to simply see if the standard can be met rather than getting the official medical. My son will actually be training outside of the Uk.

thanks

Healeyguy,

The CAA and JAA websites should give you the information you require.

Two documents that may be of use to you:

JAR-FCL3 Medical Requirements for Flight Crew Licensing

CAA Initial JAR Class 1 (professional pilot) Medical Examination

All the best,

simkin
