Collapsed Lung

Single Pilot operations recently hospitalised following a sponteneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung) Successful operation, no underlying cause.

Anyone know what the prognosis of getting my Class 1 Med back? Would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I had a collapsed lung when i was 18....got my class 1 when i was 19!!!

CAA say that as long as you leave a year in between then you'll be fine......Should i/you have a recurrence then recertification will only be possible following surgical intervention from an approved medical source!!!
