Class 2 - Class 1 eye test
Hi, I passed my Class 2 medical at the start of december. I'm planning to do my Class 1 pretty shortly (ATPL ground school). Do I need to have my eyes tested again, or can they use the data from the Class 2?

For your class 1 you will goto gatwick and have a medical there, am not sure if they will accpet the vision from before. It is more liekely that there resident optician will check you out.

Personal advice is get the Class 1 medical completed. My eyesight passed the Class 2 limits but then I had to go through a whole load of argy bargy to get a medical deviation as my right eye was slightly outside initial class 1 limits.Don't know your personal eyesight but it is best to get the class 1 done. Then you definately know your fit for the commercial training to come.
