I can't say how respected he is by the FAA but a Dr. Rudi (sp?) Capildeo at the Nuffield in Brentwood Essex was excellent when my other half needed a counsultaion. Our GP said at the time that's who he would see if he needed a Nuro.
Best of luck.

Hi there,
I just recently underwent a reassesment for a JAA class one medical on the grounds of the EEG. I used a report written by Dr Esmonde who is a consultant neurologist.
He wrote me a report after carrying out another EEG on me and I got my medical through last week. He reviewed a few research papers on the EEG for me and gave me his opinion, so i can highly recommend him.
The CAA were happy to accept his report on order to reasses my case, so i should imagine that the FAA should be happy to accept any info he submitted.
He is based at:
Ulster Independent Clinic,
245 Stranmillis Road,
Belfast,
BT9 5JH
Northern Ireland.
Hope this is some use.
