Canadian Class I
I noticed on their website for a Canadian Class I medical you only need to correct to 20/30 (good), but then the talk about a +-3.0 diopter limit (bad).
When you go for a Class I does the doc check for the diopter limit at the office or does one need to bring in an optician's report?

ATPMBA,
I'm pretty sure that when you go for your first Category I medical exam, the CAME (Canadian Aviation Medical Examiner) will run the gamut of tests. My first was some time ago, so things may have changed since then.
Just noticed this in the AIP...
"....If the applicant resides in a foreign country the examination may be done by an aviation medical examiner designated by a contracting ICAO state. The medical information requirements of Canada must still be met."
AIP LRA 3.4.1
Maybe this can save you a trip....
