The fact that you ask the question could be interpreted as suggesting that you have something to hide!

In the UK, they ask whether you are on any medication, test haemoglobin through a pin prick blood test and test your urine for whatever, so I suspect no drug test is undertaken.

However, the answer is not to take any drugs then you will have nothing to fear.

Silly boy. However, if it was a one off I would have thought that it would out of your system by now (and they may not test for it anyway).

Learn from your present worries and concerns and leave drugs to idiots - drugs and aviation do not mix.

Cannabis based on drug THC:

Within 30 minutes=> redistributed throughout body
Effects set in within 5-10 minutes
THC half-life in blood: 19 hours
Metabolites (45 formed in liver): Half-lives up to 50 hours
After 1 week, 25-30% of THC and Metabolites remain
High dose==> 2-3 weeks for complete elimination
Oral ingestion: slower absorption, more metabolized
THC and Metabolites: Lipid (fat) soluble=> stored in fatty tissue and released slowly (primarily in feces.
Used regularly: Stored and accumulates
Stays in hair for up to 6 months.

You should be OK - but note TopBunk's comments!

however you need to be very careful as some airlines do specifically test for "recreational" drugs in their medicals.

can you use those drinks at gnc that clears your system out for 5 hours? they are like $20. it says it is guaranteed to pass your drug test or your money back.

Money back?

What will they refund? Your lost career, wages, reputation, training costs?

If you are worried about the consequences of a drug test, then maybe you would be better to avoid the cause of the problem.

Or, maybe a different career?

Waste of money. If you have smoked dope recently and pass the drug test it's because they decided to ignore the findings. They can pick it up from your fingerprints on the bottle you held when providing the sample, very sensitive tests nowadays.

What's happened to allwerp? He gave enough information to get thrown in jail and whipped in Malaysia, what a stupid place to smoke pot.

I'd be happier flying with someone that has smoked weed 10 weeks ago than I would be with someone that had been drinking the night before

I wasn't tested at my first medical, but before signing my contract, my employer asked for a drug test.

They didn't only take blood and urine samples, but cut three thick wisps out of my hair. I looked like a punk for over a month. My hairdresser said it was grievous bodily harm.

Some guys protested to that and shaved their head bold. Bad luck, as they simply took the hair from other parts .

Stay sober guys.

So long,
DBate

good point made by rachie there.

i know many people who fly after having a heavy night drinking the night before, and they think its ok just because it's legal?
anyway, slightly off topic....
