Asthma during childhood

I had asthma when I was 6 years old.Do you think that it would affect my chances of passing my 1st class medical?

I think i'm right in saying asthma may be acceptable providing control of symptoms is good on approved medication ?

If you haven't had any attacks since you should be good to go I expect.

Do you think that they won't discover that I had asthma when I was 6 years old if I hadn't tell them ? :P I never had an attack since then.

I had asthma in my teens... and have a JAA Class One... no problems at all at the initial... it's definitely not a good idea to lie about it, and probably unnecessary as you can get a medical with Asthma (I am speaking for the JAA medical... regs may be different elsewhere)

Shouldn't be a problem but it may be a good idea to give the medical division of whichever Authority's medical you plan to apply for

Best of luck
