vision

I seem to keep getting mixed information on this so I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on this issue for me. Do I have to pass a vision test without my corrective lenses in order to recieve my 1st class medical certificate or is having 20/20 with my corrective lenses enough.

If NYC in your signature signifies that you live in the US and want an FAA medical, yes 20/20 vision is what they are after.

The FAA is not interested in the amount of correction needed.

There are a few other visual matters which will get tested but your assumptions are in essence correct.
