Have a pub lunch and loose your job !
Flicking through the late night TV the other night I came across the program 'Myth Busters'.
Now I'm sure some of you have seen the program already and know the format but for thoses that dont.......
Two guys in the US who have a background in movie special effects explore a lot of the urban myths with a view to either busting it or proving it correct.

In the programs that I have seen they have done all sorts of things from trying to blow up a 727 by firing a 9mm round through it ....to seeing if a tooth brush placed next to a WC in a bathroom would infact pick up WC gems !
Now the thing that was really interesting and quite alarming was a test they did on eating poppy seeds.
The myth was that if you eat bread or other products sprinkled with poppy seeds that you could then test positive on a drugs test for opium !!!!!!
Well the guys tucked into a normal shop produced cake and a bagle laced with poppy seeds. They then waited a while and tested themselves using a urine test similar to a home pregnacy kit and guess what ?
BOTH guys tested positive for opium based drugs and contiued to for a day or so afterwards ! ! !
Now how many of us are just starting to see random drugs tests becoming part of the terms of our occupation ?
And how many of us enjoy a nice thick slice of bread sprinkled with poppy seeds.....maybe as part of a pub lunch ?
Could you loose your job for it ?
Maybe not but just think of the trouble it could make for you?
There's always people in every occupation that love pointing the finger at you.....and when you explain it was a slice of bread with you sunday afternoon ploughmans that made you test positive for opium.......will they truly 100% ever believe you ?
I'm now an ex 'large white bloomer' junkie.... just in case ! ! !
