Why does the TV advert for Zelnorm say it's "only indicated for women"?

Am I making a fool of myself by asking

Dunno what Zelnorm is but if you have a look next time the add comes along and look for the generic name (usually in small print somewhere) and get back to here I will have a look for you.

according t their website it's Tegaserod Maleate.

I tried to cut and paste some text, but it wouldn't let me I just wondered why it's aimed at women as both genders have a bowel.

This has shades of an earlier incident when I asked my mother why iron supplements were always aimed at women
