Aching Testicles

I am not a flyer but can I post here anyway?

On Sunday night I started to noticed a dull ache in my testicles. This continued yesterday (Mon) and I wrongly suspected that it was due to excessively tight underwear which was then removed. I was doing fitness training/tests in the evening and for a while stopped noticing it.

Afterwards, and today, particularly this afternoon it has come back.

Any ideas?

At your age have you not heard of Blue Balls? Yank one out and I am sure you will no longer have this problem.

Danny - what the hell is this doing here?

Oh dear Focal, you trying to tell the PPRuNERs what they can and can't post? H.

Unhappy

Whoaa...............Just hold on a mo before this gets out of hand and everyone ridicules the man out of hand.

I AM a flyer, and I've been suffering the same symptoms lately, and what's more it's damn worrying. I recently went through loads of medical tests, ultrasound, IVU, & cystoscopy among others, along with cartloads of drugs. All to NO effect !!

So, if any SENSIBLE person with a MEDICAL background has any crumbs to offer, I for one would like to hear of them.

Painful testicles warrant a visit to your local doctor/health care professional.

There is a condition called torsio testis and that is an emergency which requires immediate attention and action as you would otherwise lose the functionality of the testicle.

May be not so likely that it is that but without seeing it can not discount it (although less likely that you go to the gym with this condition as it is extremely painful)

So get to see your doc soonest is the message.

Well I went and saw a doctor and had my tempreture taken, along with a sample of urine to check for infection. Nothing.

Had them examined and the doc found no lumps, swelling or anything else. Which was MY big worry....

Probably groin strain....

Sounds like you've done the wise thing and had it checked out.
Testicular pain is usually transient, and often a cause is not found.

Better now thanks.

Ache gone, possibly of its own accord. However I have missed a couple of days fitness training. Oh well....

Important thing is to get it checked to make sure it is nothing serious.

A pal of mine had years of pain in the groin: it was finally diagnosed as a hernia in that region…can’t remember the technical term, but could ask him if anyone needs info. His pain was so great the he could not sleep for long periods and caused great distress.

He finally had surgery and all was ok.

Entertaining lady friends too often in the boudoir can also produce this effect. A couple of days rest usually does the trick.

Make sure you are hydrated ie lots of fluids .
Can be caused by kidney "gravel" I believe or so my doc told me when I had aching testicle(s)
The theory being that not drinking enough fluids does not clean the kidney out and the pain radiates to the testes.
In my case I had an ache in the kidney region as well that more or less confirmed the above diagnosis

Hi
I had the same problem about two years ago, spent days worring that I was gonna die or lose a nut. I went to the quacks and he diagnosed epididimitis (infection in the tubes)gave me some pills and I was right as rain in a week. GO TO THE DOCS my friend it is probably nothing but well worth a check. Hope you are ok, keep us posted.

For what it’s worth here’s my 2p’s worth.
As a young adult I had frequent painful and tender testicles, mostly one side but occasionally both. The pain sometimes extended into the groin. This would come on over the space of a few minutes often as a result of walking or running. As a young lad the thought of this occurring curtailed many of my activities.
I saw a number a number of specialists who prodded and poked for the conditions posted above but to no avail.
I began to notice a correlation between the periods of pain and having a steady girlfriend. There was no doubt that while I was ‘getting it regularly’ the pain would not occur. Likewise, in the absence of a girlfriend I could take the problem into my own hands, with the same result. Eureka, why did it take five years to find this?
Clearly this was a build up of ‘back pressure’. I still don’t know if this is a known condition. Do some young lads over produce?
If this helps one person it was worth posting.

"Please Sir, Please Sir, can I be board monitor, please Sir?"

What an insensitive t**t!

WebF I had exactly the same as described by faheel. Not nice and more than a bit scary at the time. Glad to hear you've recovered.
