BREXIT
Our cowards in power May (no pun intended) do well to remember this

Utter utter rubbish!!!!!!!! |
Oh my, that's mawkish.
|
It's nationalist stupidity like that, that got us into the shit we are in now.
|
It is an attempt at humour but remember that little matter of troops being on standby?
Those of a certain age may remember General Sir Walter Walker and his Civil Assistance organisation. https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ls/r/C11265477 You can't read the document but you only need to look at personalities to realise it was not Civil Defence. Things have moved on and 'those of a certain age ' are too stiff of joint today but maybe someone in Westminster remembers. |
Funny how hardline Brexiteers can remember WWII so well and yet The Troubles have completely escaped their recollection.

Said like a true indoctrinee. Please give the ‘all Brexiteers are stupid’ line a rest. Just because it says so in the Guardian it doesn’t make it true. BV |
Somebody on the other thread was saying that the anti Brexit petition was strongest around Cambridge. This was meant as a criticism. That would be the Cambridge of Hawking, Newton, Darwin, Turing, Watson, Crick, Keynes and Rutherford. |
Yes it does! :E
|
Who said "all Brexiteers are stupid"? That was you I believe.
I was quoting the very valid comment about "hardline Brexiteers", as demonstrated perfectly by the starting of this thread. |

Well said Bob. Patent nonsense that all Brexiteers are stupid. It's the other way round - all stupid people are Brexiteers.

In the interest of fairness there are some pretty stupid remainers as well, the 'brexiteers' do not have the monopoly of that trait, as you well know :E

When Tony Blair and Alastair Campbell are two of the main proponents of Remain, I could be suggested that those who believe in Remain are the idiots.

Well quite, but the Brexiters have an overwhelming majority to the point where they probably have a working monopoly.
