Out of curiosity to try to move the debate on. What exactly does ďmaking our own trade dealsĒ mean exactly. What exactly do you want from a trade deal that you havenít been able to get now. What part of being in the EU has been hampering the U.K. economy. Iím not looking for sound bites. What exactly do you, you the responder want that you couldnít and didnít have before. I am curious to see fine detail of what you want.

So, in the end De Gaulle was right. The UK is not a European country and does not want to be a European country.

As I said after his behavioural performance, Farage was setting a precedent, one now being enthusiastically emulated by several on JB. Enjoy your night, chaps, but please, don't spill the port on your bibs...it's terribly bad form I believe .

Freedom of movement......a short history.

FFS, stop confusing Europe with the EU.

Europe is a continent, the EU is a political organisation. Not every European country is in the EU.

It would appear Tony Blair has accepted Brexit:

B2B, no real idea but perhaps one where the EU imposed conditions that protected their internal market but is irrelevant to us?

So it has finally sunk in to his head that he will never be the President of Europe :D

In this the majority of European citizens would strongly disagree with you. A huge proportion of non brits see Europe as the EU and the EU as europe.

Europe was devastated by the Second World War. Never again would those that lived through it let it happen again. Yes obviously Britain was affected by the war(s) and yes Britain was a driving force to stop the march of Nazi germany. But Britain wasnít devastated like mainland Europe was and Britain never bought in to the European project.

Not sure where you got this from but as a non Brit I can assure you that you are wrong.

I will tell you what arrogance is. Bill Cash was invited by Evan Davis to say what would represent the failure of Brexit. Cash said nothing. When asked if a 50% fall in GDP would represent failure he would not agree that it would. This just shows that Brexiteers just don't give a toss about their country.

Really you are just trolling now.

If you really believe some of the [email protected] you type then I actually feel very sorry for you.

As a European and a non Brit I completely disagree with you. It was stated earlier. A huge portion of European citizens ask themselves the question what comes first. Nation or European and invariably European comes first. This is a question a Brit will never ask themselves.

Do these people you quote say 'I am a European', or I am a 'European Union Member', again two different things.

You believe that?, or are you just repeating it because it bolsters your arguement?.
If you do believe that, I have a Lovely 3rd hand bridge for sale....going cheap

Being of multi-european descent (and multilingual), despite having a UK passport I have never managed to think of myself as "English" (despite the public school) but as a British European.

Still, since I also have an EU country passport I guess I can at least choose which line I'm going to stand in depending where I'm going.

to a huge portion of Europe they are not. You can be both. To the majority of Europeans that sat on our grandparents laps listening to the horrors of the Second World War. The devastation, the bombings the murders perpetrated by both sides. to being told ďthe Britisher is buried under my roses just there after the German officer shot him in the head in my kitchen, the German is buried there after I saw him stabbed by The resistance officer in my front room and we had to hide the body, yes they are both the same.

Boris isn't two faced. But only because he has a bigger choice.
