Dea Carte,

Told wrong, it would be an Air Force Jet, the VP doesn’t charter.

Fixed this for you - more effective and accurate.... ;)

Their sense of proportion is they care not to embarrass Democrats you mean.....and anything to dump Trump is priority....even if there is no truth to it.

You noticed the Senate Intelligence Committee's Report that said the Russian attempt to interfere with the Election had no effect. What did all that alleged collusion achieve?

lomapaseo 9th Oct 2017 03:14

What did all that alleged collusion achieve?
exactly what was planned, dis-belief in our political system that can be so easily misled among the uninformed who can't sort fact from fiction.

Obama was too embarrassed by it to make much of a fuss and admit that his base was that ignorant.

OBG

The NFL players have the right to take a knee, vp Pence has no right to denigrate them as he took an oath to defend The Constitution. His actions show he has no respect for that document.

galaxy flyer 9th Oct 2017 04:25

He, nor any other spectator has an obligation to honor their “protests. Are you in the belief freedom of speech implies “requirement to listen”? Yes, they have a right to free speech, just as he has the right to leave. Typical leftie—freedom for me, but not for thee.

You want to know modern liberal Democrat politics look like, go no farther than Harvey Weinstein—immoral, abusive, hypocritical, bullying, sexist, without honor and discipline. Just like Slick Willie, Hilary and the gang.

The protesters are protesting Pence's protest....go figure!

I no longer look at NFL games, support no sponsors of NFL broadcasts, and the Kneelers would criticize me for electing to protest their conduct by doing as I am.

We all have choices in Life....they made theirs.....I made mine.

fltlt 9th Oct 2017 05:08

It would appear the NFL/networks/whoever have decided to skip televising the anthem ceremonies and go straight to kick off.
I for one agree with SASless, why should I patronize any of the companies supporting these childish multi millionaires.
As one of the signs held up up at a game last week I believe:

Protest on your time, not on my dime.

When these folks start turning up in Detroit to make a real difference and not just a look ma I'm on tv moment, I may reconsider, until then there are many other interesting things to do than watch NFL games.

westhawk 9th Oct 2017 05:13

I lost interest in the NFL long before protesting millionaire athletes disrespected the flag and what it stands for in the name of their cause. No, the NFL lost me when the sports commentators started spending more time talking about the business of football than they did talking about the game of football. That was 25 years ago. Now they talk about the politics and ideology associated with football. Back when it was just a game to be enjoyed by spectators, it was far more attractive.

PIF: Thanks for the correction. I could have sworn that was what I had typed! Time to trouble shoot that break between my brain and fingers!

That describes Trump perfectly. :D

galaxy flyer 9th Oct 2017 14:49

Actually, most modern people, but you are correct on Trump.

Odd how some get their Knickers in a wad when some claim to having God's Blessing (take your pick on which version of God) on kicking off some kind of war.

Gott Mit Uns, Aloha Snack Bar.....does it matter how it is said?

I suppose even during our own War Between the States....both sides sought blessing of their individual causes.

Jeffers is way out there....so why give him any credence....we here in the USA sure don't!

ethicalconundrum 10th Oct 2017 06:24

Mike Pence - the US VP was in Indy because he was gov of the state, likes football, and later in the game he was an invited guest for the unveiling of the new Peyton Manning statue. I guess he admires the player, and wanted to pay respect to his home team, and their most prolific quarterback. David Letterman(from the state of IN), Goodell, Tony Dungy were in attendance at the ceremony. Pence was there for the same reason as those men. However, he chose not to stay for reasons which are in keeping with his long and distinguished service to the citizenry.

Manning is a guarantee for first ballot hall of fame. A lot of people respect that. So did Pence. Other players seem to have made their disrespect known, and the VP thought it would be prudent to treat them as the recalcitrant kids they acted like.

Octane 10th Oct 2017 09:14

Mike Pence is a nutter, google and read about him.
Problem is, if Trump gets outed, Pence is the Prez.....

Uncle Fred 10th Oct 2017 09:36

Looks as if Mr. Trump is rather keen to squash the nuclear deal with Iran.

Of course that will be cause for celebration in the streets of America for a slice of the populace. Europe supports the deal and Europe to them, as we know, is bad in all things and at all times (that is until you wish to vacation or send a child on study abroad).

I can only hope the other signatories to the agreement ignore his actions although I would not doubt that he would try to impose secondary sanctions on us for doing so.

If one did not know better, and I don't, one would think that the U.S. is trying to goad Iran into giving it a reason for kinetic operations. I will see if I can find the link in which Ambassador John Bolton wrote in the WSJ that the Americans should bomb Iran.

With his recent words it makes one wonder if Mr. Trump thinks seriously about anything...anything at all?

Does not Boeing have orders on its books from Iran Air? I know Airbus does and they would not even have to pay bribes to pick up the slack!

SASless 10th Oct 2017 15:29

Fred....do keep up.

News reports are the lunatic prez is as usual following the advice of his Senior Advisors. He may not like the deal....but he will go along with it...for now.

What happens when Iran and North Korea gain the ability to launch Nuclear tipped ICBM's?

How will that affect the long term prospects for a long life filled with Rainbows and Unicorns for you?

oicur12.again 10th Oct 2017 15:45

“Jeffers is way out there....so why give him any credence....we here in the USA sure don't!”

You may not but the President sure does. He is trumps Evangelical advisor and has introduced Trump several times at the podium standing right behind the seal of the POTUS.
