Pappa ... exactly, but I don't think that the decision and the act were all decided/carried out since the budget.

The (false) letter to the female Leftie from the Canadian Defence Minister informing her she will be hosting a terrorist is doing the rounds on another site. I know it's false, but it so clearly points out the stupidity of the touchie-feelies on this and so many other matters, someone should send a copy to SHY.
Not that she would understand it.
The PUP Tasmanian ex-MP (military policewoman) Senator to be seems to me to be in there with a chance of knocking Sarah from the top of the silly tree.

Do you have a link ?

It was on here somewhere a while ago.

7x7 10th Jun 2014 07:43

500n, I'd be guessing he was talking about this, from the Larry Pickering site.

An enlightening short read. The Canadian Minister of Defense has a dead-on sense of humor

Adopt A Terrorist -This is good.

I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYONE IN THE CURRENT USA OR UK CHAIN-OF-COMMAND
COMPOSING SUCH A GREAT RESPONSE!!
Adopt a Terrorist.- Too Good to Miss

The Canadians know how to handle complaints.

Here is an example.
A Canadian female liberal wrote a lot of letters to the Canadian government, complaining about the treatment of captive insurgents (terrorists) being held in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities. She demanded a response to her letter.
She received back the following reply:

National Defense Headquarters
M Gen George R. Pearkes Bldg., 15 NT
101 Colonel By Drive
Ottawa , ON K1A 0K2
Canada

Dear Concerned Citizen,

Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profound concern of treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists captured by Canadian Forces, who were subsequently transferred to the Afghanistan Government and are currently being held by Afghan officials in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities.

Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinions were heard loud and clear here in Ottawa . You will be pleased to learn, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, we are creating a new department here at the Department of National Defense, to be called 'Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers' program, or L.A.R.K. for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided, on a trial basis, to divert several terrorists and place them in homes of concerned citizens such as yourself, around the country, under those citizens personal care. Your personal detainee has been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence in Toronto next Monday.

Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud is your detainee, and is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. You will be pleased to know that we will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with your recommendations. Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his 'attitudinal problem' will help him overcome those character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counselling and home schooling, however, we strongly recommend that you hire some assistant caretakers. Please advise any Jewish friends, neighbours or relatives about your house guest, as he might get agitated or even violent, but we are sure you can reason with him. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless in your opinion, this might offend him. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills either in your home or wherever you choose to take him while helping him adjust to life in our country.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters except sexually, since he views females as a form of property, thereby having no rights, including refusal of his sexual demands. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him.

You also should know that he has shown violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire. I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka over time. Just remember that it is all part of respecting his culture and religious beliefs as described in your letter.

You take good care of Ahmed and remember that we will try to have a counselor available to help you over any difficulties you encounter while Ahmed is adjusting to Canadian culture.

Thanks again for your concern. We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job and care for our fellow man. Good luck and God bless you.

Cordially,
Gordon O'Connor
Minister of National Defense

High on drugs, 40 kph over the speed limit, kills 3 people and his lawyer asks for a light sentence because it was all the drug traffickers fault.:ugh::ugh::ugh:

These are the same idiots that make sure boat persons have 3 bedroom houses to live in, while we have Australians homeless.

Why is he out of jail anyway ?

I would have thought he would be held, after all, killing 3 people with a car or killing three with a knife, what's the difference ?

I know that intersection well, they aren't bad roads at all but it always has cars on both the roads.

Currently residing in the land of the Rising Sun but there was a brief mention of sorts of the above in the English Language Newspaper I get here but can someone fill me in on the details re the above?

PM me if you want. Thanks.

Pinky, go to Yahoo7 and watch the Clive Palmer/PUP segment on Channel 7's 'Sunday Night' show from last Sunday night.

I warn you, it will scare the bejeezus out of you when you consider that the people interviewed in that programme will hold the balance of power in the Senate come July - not that those same people know what 'the balance of power' is!!!.

This comment, taken from the Bolt site, says it all about the ABC, the Canberra Press and Fairfax in my opinion.

If the ABC really wanted to do Gillard a favour they would be all over this story, exposing every single honest and factual piece of evidence and exploring and explaining just why she is innocent – and would have done this from the first if they were any credible organisation.

The fact that they haven’t exposes a mindset that is perhaps terrified of what the truth could mean.

Did anyone see the comments from the ABC MD the other day, complaining that the budget cuts might affect programming - including childrens and Australian prorgams - so going for the heart string vote.

Anyway, I loved the Hockey's comeback, said the ABC has not had to make any cuts or take any budget decreases in many many years and that this one is only 1% of the total ABC Budget so "stop whingeing" !

Yes, I must admit I have some difficulty getting my head around how someone in charge of a shrinking postal service should earn ten times more than the person running the country.

Whats the size of the company in people terms and finance, whats the equivalent in other companies? You get what you pay for.

As for pollies pay, well they get enough perks to compensate.

What is needed is a long term plan for Aus post, what is happening has all been predicted and inevitable. It needs a long term sustainable model on how its going to operate in the future, and what is it going to operate as. If the head can come up with a plan then he will have earned his money.

Interesting article re the media not covering the Gillard story when she was PM.

I can't find the quote I wanted to put - it might have been a similar article in another newspaper - but it said that the ABC, instead of totally ignoring the story should have written an article outlining one by one all the allegations and then refuted them - by ignoring the story they gave it legs.
