:*Back to the boat people that got turned back, reading the report from the ALPBC,

They seem to be complaining that they paid $6000 dollars, however got sent back....tough titties Yusuf, don't pay money to pirates.

Some people jumped into the water in protest....oh dear I hope you can swim because I suggest they are left there.

They called the United Nations for help???....Hey Yusuf, did the UN send a rescue boat?...no didn't think so! Next time call Two Dads, her old man might have a dingy she can come and pick you up in, and take you home to her place.

If you were handled roughly, ( which I doubt), how were you acting towards our fine RAN people? This question seems not to have been asked by your freinds at the ALPBC.

And the kind men and women of our Navy fixed the engine of your boat for you. I have to ask, why the hell did you pay $6000 to get into a unseaworthy boat in the first place, or did some bright spark have the idea of 'breaking the engine' and calling the UN for help?

The fact is Yusuf, old buddy, you were in Australian waters illegally, so you have to be removed, back to the place from where you came.

And I happen to like the idea that kind Tony Abbott is going to buy you some nice new shiny life boats. So if you are silly enough to try this stunt again, and the boat 'break', you can be towed back to Indonesia in a nice safe boat.

You are just lucky it is not me coming up with ideas, because I've got one that would make your freind Two Dads self combust.

I was visiting Sydney (Darling Harbour) a few years ago on Jan 26th when I was still living overseas.

Two things made me cringe that day -

(1) the number of foul-mouthed, aggressive young (male) bogans I saw with Australian flags draped around their shoulders, and

(2) that **** 'sorry' with which some skywriter marred an otherwise pristine blue sky.

Caveat Emptor. If the current federal government do one thing properly, I hope it's running the people smuggling crims out of town. They're as bad as the narcotics smugglers and deserve the same treatment. If the word spreads, then the mission is accomplished.

This is a pet peeve, and come Australia Day it's particularly bad on the Gold Coast :(. A few years ago the Big Day Out music festival was marred by drunken ferals marching around with flags demanding people kiss them (the flags, not themselves) :yuk:. Fortunately for them (and possibly me ) I didn't attend, because my questions would have been 'Why are you denigrating the Australian Flag by 1. dragging it in the mud (which they were) and 2. draping it across your spotty, skanky little shirtless shoulders'?:ugh:

The following year QPol deployed a SERT Team to the Gold Coast who tasered anyone who looked sideways at them, and the situation calmed down very quickly :ok:. Much media bleating about civil liberties ensued, but people could enjoy a music festival without being accosted by drunken, flag bearing hooligans.

"You are just lucky it is not me coming up with ideas, because I've got one that would make your freind Two Dads self combust."

That makes two of us.

" Some people jumped into the water in protest....oh dear I hope you can swim because I suggest they are left there."

Fast Patrol Boats fitted with sprays and tanks full of offal and blood,
you jump in water, we discharge into the sea. Sharks will take care
of the rest.

They won't be speaking to the media !

Ethel the Aardvark 8th Jan 2014 13:12

It's quite amusing that the boguns that wear the Australian flag over their skanky shoulders are also the types that I would associate with the much sort after Aldi t shirt on this thread.
I am not trying to put myself in the shoes of the navy personell ( couldn't handle the thought of having a pen shoved up my jacksie) but surely the current role is not one that you would enlist for or be overly proud of IMO.

dat581 8th Jan 2014 13:49

You would have to take your head out first before the pen would fit...

500N 8th Jan 2014 13:53

"surely the current role is not one that you would enlist for or be overly proud of IMO."

Probably get more "sea time" than normal ops.

But agree, not exactly what I would join up for.

Remember the stink when the SAS were used for that ship,
same thing, shit was flying over that b/c it was not a role
even though they did it.

I can't help but think that most of them would prefer to be doing what they're doing now rather than playing "HMAS Taxi".

What a sick and sad mind? :E

500N 8th Jan 2014 23:49

Yep, most of the time.

Airey Belvoir 9th Jan 2014 00:59

OK. Hands up all those who know the UN number. Or have access to the number on speed dial. Or have a Yellow Pages that they can refer to. Or know somebody who knows the number.

Thought not.

dubbleyew eight 9th Jan 2014 04:54

just as a smartarsed challenge I googled united nations phone number.
absolutely no phone numbers came up so it must take some inside knowledge to get a number.

i did find this in the FAQ though.

Q. I have a project to advance the United Nations goals. Does the UN offer financial, logistical or legal assistance?

A. No. Being an Organization of sovereign states, its resources are allocated only to programmes which have been officially approved by its members.
I wonder how they do it?

A little left-wing namby-pamby of you, 500N!!!
Try this:
The boats are tracked as usual, however their position once entering Australian waters is passed to a submarine – no–one else. Shortly after last light (more time at night, you see!) the sub pops a torpedo into said boatload of illegal immigrants.
Chances of anyone getting a distress call out is nil, and by the time the sun comes up again old mate shark would have cleaned up, so to speak.
Great practice for the submariners, and easily deniable by the government: poorly maintained boat, over-crowded, inadequate life saving equipment etc etc...Pretty soon the people smuggler's customers will dry up.
Indons, SHY and the ALPBC couldn’t prove a thing.
Mwuhahahaaaaa:E:E

Andu 9th Jan 2014 05:42

Cap'n SD, I know (or at least I hope!) your tongue was firmly in your cheek when you made that post.

But to play along, it wouldn't work.

For to work, The RAN would need a submarine that worked.

Continuing to play along... 500N, you missed one vital part... it would definitely need to be pig offal.

500N 9th Jan 2014 05:49

Ah yes, Pig offal, forgot that :ok:

Had a stack of it last week that could have been used,
and was close to the Darwin base of the FPB's as well ;)

We mustn't forget the RAAF, maybe they could do another "Pong Su" ;)
That taught the North Koreans a lesson !!!

Here they are. They also have state offices.

UNAA (UN Association of Australia)
Suite 206, Griffin Centre

Welcome to the UNAA - United Nations Association of Australia

I'm sure they'll be full of facts and useful information :uhoh:. Do provide a full report!:E:}

500N 9th Jan 2014 10:38

Now that is one place that must be full of BS.

The Gov't should ban the UN and HR orgs from the capital
and make them fly in when they want to come and beg or
cajole the Gov't.

Worrals ..... my birthday is on January the first and I think that it's a great day to hold a national holiday. http://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...cons/icon7.gif

Pinky the pilot 10th Jan 2014 02:22

I note that over the last couple of days the ALPBC TV news has had a story on the supposed towing back of two boats.
Naturally, more interview time was given to Sarah two dads and Bill Shorten than anyone from the Government.

SHY actually seemed to be getting a bit steamed up. It would be interesting if one day she actually 'loses it' doing an interview.

Quite frankly, I think that everytime she is interviewed she merely digs herself into an even deeper hole in a political sense.

Time will tell.

Flying Binghi 10th Jan 2014 03:45

Like you sir...
