Juliar Gillard was a lawyer from 1987 until 1995 when she took a leave of absence from Slater and Gordon to unsuccessfully run for the senate. She resigned completely in 1996.

Everyone please ignore HID.All he is aiming at is a thread shutdown. I mean, when was Julia a lawyer??...give me a break!!.
|
Now why would I want this mature thread closed, save's me having to read woman's day for whose partner is leaving who and which lesbian polly is doing what to who.
I am baffled why such a large number of liberal men have such an inferiority complex with women. From Downer to his "things that batter" speech to Abbott "quite happy for them to be in the kitchen" spray. Maybe it's the Catholic philosophy taking precedence. Nuff said |

"Leave him (her?) alone."
Don't need to anymore, he seems to have a banner next to his name :O |
TA sworn in :ok:
Question for those ex military people. The GG's female Army ADC was standing off to one side, in the attention position but with her hands in the at ease position (ie behind her back). Anyone know why she wasn't either at Attention or at ease instead of a bit of both ? |
500, I don't know the answer, but I give you 10 out of 10 for attention to detail.:ok:
|
To be honest, I don't think anyone who has been in the Military ever loses it,
especially if they have been an instructor or NCO. Just my HO. FYI, the GG has 3 Female ADC's !!! First time ever. |
|
Heh, there's eight people in that photo and only one male..:ooh: complaints should be made..;)
|
Well you can't say he is not a man of action. He was only in the job a few minutes, and he sacked 3 senior public servants.
The next few days might be interesting. |
Wouldn't she be wearing a hat if she were properly standing to attention? Or doesn't that apply indoors?
I wonder if it's more the awkward 'I've got loads of cameras pointing in my direction' pose rather than a formal one. It looks similar to pics of uniformed government people at airports when a VIP turns up. As for the public servants, as you say... Interesting times ahead. I imagine that a few departments may now feature on the Endangered Species list. :ooh: |
Worrals
Attention and Stand at ease are performed with or without a hat. "uniformed government people" and the military are slightly different but I am sure it is in a manual, drill or ceremonial somewhere. The skirt is a bit creased as well :O |
" the skirt is a bit creased as well"........ perhaps it is the content that is the cause.
Oh,b****r, I've gone all misogynist again. :uhoh: |
Thanks for that 500N

has Tony fired Tim Flannery yet?
|
has Tony fired Tim Flannery yet? Oh, and all ALPBC "journalists".:E |
ALPBC reporting that the Indonesians are "very unhappy" with the new Australian government policy on asylum seekers.
My first reaction is probably best not put into print. |
Progress at last!
|
Love it :D:D:D:D
Even if the Indos move 25% to doing a bit more it is a win from doing nothing ATM. I think it will be a long hard road to stop them but I think in the long run they will slow them down at a minimum, especially once word gets through that they will never get perm residency and the number of appeals, if any decrease so non of this endless lefty BS that has been going on. |
