HID

How do you know they are genuine refugees when they arrive with no documentation to prove who they are (after ditching it before getting on the boat in Malaysia or Singapore)?

And how can you say that (my bolding)

I never thought that the arrival of (for arguments sake) 10000 law abiding, hardworking and future Australians would spell the end of the Australian Empire as we know it.
when ALP Government statistics show that the number getting full and proper LEGAL employment does not even reach 26% after being in the country for 4 years? Yes, that means around three-quarters of those you claim to be "hard working" (note, it's TWO WORDS!!) prefer to sit on benefits than work, so explain your claim.

But let's get down to the nitty-gritty. In the 3 years before Rudd, 10 boats with 71 "refugees" arrived in Aus. In the last 3 years that has changed to an average of over 300 boats and in excess of 20,000 "refugees", yet you don't see a problem and anyone who does is a "racist"?

Mate, you better take off the rose-tinted beer goggles and look at what is happening because it will only get worse........

"I never thought that the arrival of (for arguments sake) 10000 law abiding, hardworking and future Australians would spell the end of the Australian Empire as we know it."

It wouldn't, if they worked.

Let's put it this way.

If all those refugees were told employment was available
digging a tunnel or two and building a dam or two through
the Snowy mountains, do you think they would jump at the chance
- like 100,000 other refugees did last century who although conditions
were not the best, got on with the job and helped build this country.

That is the difference.

heated ice detector 14th Oct 2012 12:20

Thanks Hellsy, so by your figures if three quarters do not work ie 15000, then Australia's economy will be devastated. now you really have me worried, a whole 15000 benefit shoppers.
Maybe the children could be sent down the coal mines like we did in the last century. (meant as sarcasm, don't want to give any ideas away).

hellsbrink 14th Oct 2012 12:52

I see, you think it's acceptable for anyone to abuse the asylum and refugee policies of any country, for them to decide that people like you are their "meal ticket", that they should never actually contribute to society, that their true identities need never be known, that criminal activity is acceptable, that YOUR taxes should now be spent on benefit shoppers instead of the things the country actually needs, that the economy of the country should be allowed to go all to hell due to the incessant and constant stream of people who will not contribute one iota of anything to society (do remember that unemployment is rising, gdp is starting to fall and now over 12% of Australians officially live in poverty), and that population densities will increase whilst resources decrease and infrastructure does not get improved to feed/water/etc all these new arrivals? And you think that only 20-something thousand is the true figure or do you admit there are many more who have not been caught, and who will also make fraudulent claims on the welfare system?

No, sonny, the problem isn't the immigrants. It's people like you who believe in the sort of policy which will run the country into the sewer at the expense of ALL citizens. And if anyone is to be classed as "racist", then it is yourself and your ilk for the "positive discrimination" being shown by allowing such uncontrolled immigration at the expense of every decent, law abiding and hard working person in the land. And, thankfully, these people are now starting to see exactly what to expect from the power hungry parasites that call themselves a "government".

heated ice detector 14th Oct 2012 13:27

Helsy I think you need to put it in perspective, double or treble the number to 60,000, compared to the 20 plus million who live here its a drop in the ocean.
Its sad that some people have to go through life worried about constantly being invaded or people getting something over them.

Buster Hyman 14th Oct 2012 13:43

If Tony Abbott was a refugee, would she have called him a mysogynist?

Anyway, just to add insult to her hypocracy, I see Mike Tyson has said she's right! You couldn't make it up could you...too funny!

hellsbrink 14th Oct 2012 13:50

No, HID, you have to look at what is happening now and what WILL happen if things are not under control.

So, again, are you actually happy with the abuse of the asylum system by those, of whom there is no knowledge about and who could also be a security risk, who simply wish to bypass the proper immigration channels to get the life of luxury they deem to be acceptable? And are you happy with all the other bludgers there are out there, living off of YOUR hard earned (I assume you work for a living, although the alternative could explain your rather relaxed attitude to the assorted bludgers)?

You don't need that sort of publicity. Seriously, you just don't. :E
I take it he got his visa approved despite his previous convictions; would the average non-famous American find the DIAC so accomodating, even if he claimed abject, 'I've changed' remorse?
Let's have some great Aussie music. :hmm:

CHAIRMAN 14th Oct 2012 14:46

Hell HID, couldn't agree with you more.
While we're at it why not lift alll the barriers, 60,000 no worries you say. How about 120,000. Still no worries:D
How about 240,000. Still no worries:confused:
If your good intentions were government policy, we would be 480,000, in no time.
Still happy about that level of imported unemployable?
You obviously have some kind of personal limit you're comfortable with. Please share your upper limit.

hellsbrink 14th Oct 2012 15:44

He doesn't have any limit, for he believes that every single one of them will be model citizens who will all work for a living and obey every aspect of the law.

And we all know what end of the male bovine that concept comes from.......

To para-phrase a previous post of mine, I will listen seriously to the let-the illegal-immigrants-in brigade when even one of them personally sponsors it.

Australia already has an annual taxpayer funded quota of asylum seekers. If Mr HID et al feel so strongly about allowing our processes to be circumvented for no other reason than it fulfils their “superior” sense of morality, let them put their money where their mouths are.

Not holding my breath:hmm:

My old man personally sponsored many, many immigrants in the late 60's & early 70's. I think it was before the family reunification policies were in full effect. He only sponsored those that he knew from his workplace in Broady, I guess he was a racist too. :hmm:

Its interesting to note how dropping the Racist (or misogynist for that matter) term makes the luvvies think they've won the argument. Its all so easy to type one word than argue the merits of policy.

Fubaar 14th Oct 2012 23:57

Over the weekened - that's just two days - while Canberra contemplated its collective navel and re-defined the meaning of "misogynist", 525 "future Australians" arrived - uninvited by everyone (except, it would seem, Sarah hyphen Twodads, Christine Milne and Heated Ice Detector) on six boats.

HID, extrapolate the last two days' arrivals to a calendar month and that's (to the nearest whole number) 8138 "future Australians" in one month. Extrapolate it to a year, it's 96,075.

And, of course, our Prime Minister, did a fleeting visit to the troops in Afghanistan before selling our uranium - which Political Correctness and the bloody Greens prevents us from using ourselves - to the Indians. i'm sure her presence caused the troops' morale to soar - hyperboWlically.

500N 15th Oct 2012 00:18

Interesting photos of the PM in Afghanistan.

She looks uncomfortable in 4 out of the 6 photos.
- Pulling away from a Soldier, getting out of a Blackhawk,
looking like a dork in helmet on the plane and one other.

I wonder if the press chose them that way as normally
she looks quite good.

To get away from politics and allegedly crooked Prime Ministers completely for one moment, (dinks, ;) ) here's an interesting article about lawless motorcycle gangs...

Buster

If you reckon she looks bad in that one, checck out the one
in the same location where she is putting on the helmet,
she looks even worse !

Now that she's declared the gender war, we must remember which side the majority of male editors will have to find themselves on. :E

She's gone. It's only a matter of time.

Buster Hyman 15th Oct 2012 04:02

I shall pass no further comment, lest I be accused of misogyny! http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/spezial/Fool/hmm.gif
