When I were a young lad one would not have dreamt of going outside to the toilet without wearing a suit.
I often had two bespoke suits a year built for me in those days, and so did most of my mates.
Dress like feckin clowns do the youth of today do, all they lack is the red nose to complete the ensemble.

Not only have I never owned a suit, I believe I've only worn one twice, once when I was best man at a wedding and once at my own. Both hired, both revolting.

It's not only the youth, Drapes. My daughters have even given up rolling their eyes at my dress sense. If I donated my whole wardrobe to St Vincent de Paul they would thank me politely and throw it out after I left.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses.

Actually, looking back, I may have misinterpreted what she said. At the time she was talking about some films I'd sent off to be developed.

I have several suits. They're not bespoke, but I do have to have the sleeves and trousers shortened, unless I buy them out East where the proportions are more appropriate.

ORAC, does it work in Australia?

Does anyone know of a draper who might be able to run up something suitable?

Singaporegirl, see here.

I'm not sure Draper could run up a flight of stairs, let alone anything else.

I'm thinkin that if I had a suit made from carbon, cut at oblique angels would I be invisible to radar?

Also, did you know, There were 43,687 toilet related accidents in the United States in 1996.

A not very interesting fact about radars. Did you know.......

that the microwave was invented after a researcher walked by a radar tube and a chocolate bar melted in his pocket?

The new control knob for my central heating boiler arrived today. I removed the old (broken) one and fitted the new one.

well they sit on my shoulder and watch over me singaporegirl so I guess that does not deserve being cut obliquely and made into a radar invisible suit. I feel better that a spell check wouldn't have caught that typo!!

Well we should strike with wit and guile when she sleeps.
Even now those now in the light of a new day, are readying for their minds for more input...........

Ozzy , does that explain why dress sense is down the [email protected]@@er in the US?

Very good idea for avoiding radar - and the effects thereof - borrow s/one else's car then deny you were ever near it. No ticket in your name.

Interesting factoid: thre is a select group of cyclists in the US who endeavour to be snapped on radar. Says a lot for the gene pool........

Yesterday I painted 21 balusters. I thought you'd like to know that.
