Alien civilization (reportedly) found with a telescope ...

... by someone in China.
Bloomberg NewsJune 14, 2022, 10:25 PM CDT

China said its giant Sky Eye telescope may have picked up signs of alien civilizations, according to a report by the state-backed Science and Technology Daily, which then appeared to have deleted the report and posts about the discovery.
OK, this tantalizing rumor/tidbit being squelched should get the tin foil hat contingent wound up.
But hold on: what if this time, they really did find intelligent life out there?

Discuss.
Spoiler

It’s possible to see very strange life forms around this area without a telescope. All I have to do is look across the road…..

We've got enough trouble with cross Channel economic migrants, never mind Interplanetary ones. I blame Karen Carpenter ...

One of my favourite films. My Australian great nephew once removed or whatever (my cousin's nipper) reckons as a Pommy Bastard I didn't understand the humour in it. Oh yes I did. Cracking film. If you haven't seen it, why not?

Halt, who goes there.... ? Baaaaa....

The Chinese were about to build some new planets and put military bases on them, but found out it was a joke.

All the Chinese have to do, is, drive up the A666, through Darwen...and then, assuming they survive thus far, take a trip up the M65 and Nelson and Colne...thereafter, link findings with telescope and bingo !.... alien life confirmed !

Alternatively, any UK BH ...and Motorway Services, sometimes during the day, but certainly at night .

The Officers Mess of any cavalry regiment would also support the theory as to alien lifeforms existence

Has the UK started transmitting the coordinates for the Rwandan arrivals centre in the general direction of the signal yet?

Alien hunters detect mystery radio signal from direction of Earthlike planet

  • Narrowband signal picked up from direction of the Kepler-438 star meets initial criteria for extraterrestrial intelligence, preprint says
  • Orbiting Kepler-438 in its habitable zone is one of the most Earthlike planets ever found outside the solar system
Alien-hunting astronomers in China and the US say they discovered a mysterious radio signal from the direction of an Earthlike planet. The narrowband signal – picked up by the world’s largest radio telescope – was “meaningful”, though further confirmation was needed, the scientists said. The candidate signal came from the direction of Kepler-438, a red dwarf star in the constellation Lyra – some 473 light years from the Earth, according to the team’s manuscript submitted to Research Square, a preprint service where researchers share unpublished work for community feedback.
And no filling stations between here and there, so we won't book a trip.

Never mind intelligent life on distant planets, we need to discover some form of intelligent life on earth. Apart from cats...

If they had not first found us with a telescope, how would they have known where to send the message?
