Installing an Aftermaerket Gasoline Particulate Filter

Lots of new cars are comming now with a GPF (Gasoline Particulate Filter) which most engineers say costs some Hp due to the increase in back pressure. There are already numerous companies that market bigger/higher flow DPF's as well as Catalytic converters.

So the question is, if you car has a 100mm diameter GPF (Gasoline) and you swap it out for a 200mm unit. Wouls that help with the flow rate and therfore increase hp?
