Help with a law book

I am trying to remember the name of a classic aviation law book, a tome of probably 800 pages written in the 1950s or 60s by a man with a Chinese name. It is considered the source document for air law legal cases and contains much precedent.

I understand it is way out of print but copies may be available second hand. Can someone help me with the books name and author?

Many thanks

Although this is a compilation of Bin Cheng's works, is it a starting point?

I scraped through Air Law first go having studied from little more than a pamphlet. I recall the last line was more or less, 'The captain of an aircraft may take any action he deems appropriate for the purpose of saving life.'

I've kept that in mind for a lot of years. I was sure it could be applied to the most obscure excuses.

jethro and mouse, very many thanks, that is the man. It is his "The Law of International Air Transport" that I was looking for, and had completely forgotten the reference.

The grey matter is not as able as it once was...
